Villagers in shock over boy`s killing
A decomposed body of a 12 years old boy was found in a bush five days after he went missing at Masat village in Ugenya sub -county.
The body of the deceased Vincent Omugo who was schooling at Humwend primary school had burns on the face while his palms were chopped. He had deep marks on the stomach, an indication that he had been stabbed severally.
According to the family of the deceased, he had left the house at night after doing some evening house chores to get his mobile phone from a friend of his who is a form two student at Humwend secondary school who usually charge it for him.
His father, one George Omuga , revealed to the press that initially his son and the said student had a misunderstanding and quarreled over the phone.
He further recounted that the boy later came back home and helped his mother light fire for dinner preparations and later left again to get his phone, never to return again.
Mr. Omuga said that after searching and almost giving up they found his son’s decomposing body at a nearby bush just next to their compound.
According to Ukwala OCPD Paul Tiriki they received information from Humwend head teacher Mr. Paul Opondo about the murder and quickly rushed to the scene.
The composed body of the student has since been buried and the police are in search of the suspected student who is still at large.
