Church leaders in Nyanza have now hit out at President Uhuru Kenyatta over remarks he made in Kisii yesterday regarding the 2007/2008 post election violence.
The President was quoted as saying it was the ODM leader Raila Odinga who instigated the mayhem that saw several lives and property lost.
Chairman of Nyanza Council of Churches Bishop Dr Washington Ogonyo Ngede of the Power of Jesus Around the World Church says its in public domain that Raila Odinga was not involved in the conflict.
Bishop Ogonyo says the remarks by the President are very unfortunate even as Kenya head to the polls adding that even victims of the violence have never been fully compensated.
He says people have not healed from the atrocities committed during the period adding that Kenyans should not be reminded of such a debate especially from the President.

Speaking to the Press in Kisumu today, Ogonyo says the President must be reminded that he is the head of state and must stay away from divisional politics.
Bishop Ogonyo says the country is heading to elections and the President must preach the same message of peace he keeps talking about.
